University of Canberra implements Boomi to create a “one-stop shop” for digital campus
With the goal of encouraging students to spend more time studying and succeeding rather than completing administrative tasks, the University of Canberra (UC) saw recent advances in digital technologies as an opportunity to accelerate that goal.
As a result, UC launched an innovative digital student journey program to transform the student experience. The result is an app-like online environment that enriches students’ lives with a contextual experience based on real-time information that puts them in control of their learning needs.
Over the past decade, digital student services at the university have become fragmented, making it difficult to provide a 360-degree view of the student experience. These services were often not “student-centric,” Driven instead by existing administrative processes, organizational structures and decisions.
The institution needed to modernize the way it handles student interactions from first application to graduation and beyond with alumni development, and wanted to do so within a single application to eliminate information gaps, duplication, and service delays.
Boomi has helped the university take a big step forward in its digital transformation efforts. But more importantly, Boomi has helped create significant improvements to the digital experience for students:
The Boomi Platform connects key applications and data sources that students need every day, supporting technology that humanizes learning and anticipates student needs.
With Boomi, students are more connected to the broader campus community with up-to-date digital information about events and other community initiatives. This is a great part of the environment we strive to provide.
The University of Canberra selected the Boomi Platform because of its modern, low-code design, which makes it easy to use, and powerful enough to manage the university’s complex environment of on-premises and cloud-based applications.
UC implemented more than 65 integrations in 10 months, using Boomi’s APIs to connect to 12 different systems.
Its Boomi-powered digital student journey platform supports a single, cohesive service view accessible across multiple devices, seamlessly integrating back office systems, applications and data.
